The Day The Music Came to Life

                 

This morning when Brianna woke the air was filled with music.  What a beautiful sound it was.  Brianna was a singer and new good music when she heard it.  This music was like none she had ever heard.  Before the day would come to an end, Brianna would discover that she had been a part of a day that had never happened before and may never happen again. 

As Brianna drove past the Elementary    School it was shaking with music.  Nearby, at the High School she could see members of the band parading in the ball field but there was something more.  The air was simply filled with music.  Music that was so pretty it almost took her breath away.

Brianna knew a lot of the children at the Elementary School were learning to play musical instruments but it wasn't possible for the little ones to be playing quite this good.  The music was so beautiful, it would take someone with a lot of experience to play this well.

Brianna stopped by and saw Miss Wilson, a teacher Brianna once had, playing her beautiful harp.  A cute little girl was playing a baby grand piano like she should be at a huge concert.  How could all this possibly be?  Brianna wondered if maybe angels had come to earth and blessed everyone with the gift of music.  Long after she had passed the schools she could still here beautiful music.

Brianna thought of the musical genius Beethoven, playing   his cello.  This was the kind of music that even Beethoven would be proud of.  She decided to head to the music store and see if they knew what was happening.  As Brianna pulled up to the store again she could see that the whole store was rocking and rolling.  Because Brianna was a singer she knew everyone at the store. 

When she walked in, she couldn't believe her eyes, every instrument in the store was playing by itself!  Electric guitars were pumping out music just sitting on the shelves or hanging on the walls.  The saxophones were blowing some great jazz.  It was really incredible, Brianna had never seen anything like this!

  Brianna spotted JayCee rapping long with the    instruments.  JayCee owned the music store and also worked as a DJ some nights at the place where Brianna sang.  She also saw Steven Jones who was her bands lead guitar player.  Steven was also playing along with the music.  These two guys loved music and Brianna could tell they were having the time of their lives!

The sounds were so wonderful Brianna just sat down on a stool next to a keyboard and enjoyed the sounds.  A banjo was strumming away and all the instruments together made a sound that Brianna just could not describe.  It was one of those things you simply had to hear for yourself.

                                              

On her way to the club where she worked that afternoon,   Brianna saw things she didn't think she would ever see again.  Even animals were out in the park playing musical instruments.  A cute cat was getting down doing some great fiddling, she saw a rocking robin, a crooning hound dog and a kangaroo with a horn.  Finally she passed a teen with a boom box as big as he was and Brianna thought that was the most normal thing she had seen all day!

When Brianna walked into the club where she worked, the jukebox was loudly playing music.  Nothing unusual about that except for one thing, it wasn't even plugged into the wall!  Then the moment Brianna will never forget as long as she lives.  She looked up on the stage and there warming up with an electric guitar was a music note.  Playing the guitar all by itself!

The Chili Pepper Brothers were joining in and before    you knew what was happening many other notes joined in on stage and they had a real jam going on.  Brianna asked her boss what was going on and he just shrugged his shoulders and said, "I don't have a clue but let's just relax and have a great time.  Who knows we may never see a night like this again!"

                                      

The "Note Band" was very impressive.  Every note they played was perfect.  They had a solo singer who was fabulous also.  When they started playing and singing the whole crowd of customers were cheering and applauding.  No one had ever heard anything quite like it.

The Note Band introduced themselves as the heart and soul of music.  Their three back up singers were Doe, Rae and Me. Somehow that seemed to fit perfectly for them.  The band wanted Brianna and her back up singer to join them.  When they all hit the stage the crowd went wild.  They knew they were seeing something most people would never see.    

Brianna was so proud when they asked her to join in and sing with them.    Miranda, Brianna's best friend and back up singer in her band joined them on stage also.  It was a night neither would ever forget.  For years to come they would be telling their children and grand children about this day and hoping someday it would happen again.

  Brianna sang her heart out and had all the hearts in the club    singing along with her.  She hoped that the day would come again when all the music notes would come to life and play or sing their own music.  With this day coming to an end, the only thing left was for the Note Band to do was to take a big bow.  To huge cheers and applause they did just that!
